of <h1>Company Law Board Reorganizes Benches Nationwide; New Principal Benches in Delhi and Chennai. Effective September 9, 2002.</h1> The Company Law Board, under Section 10E(4B) of the Companies Act, 1956, and Regulation 4 of the Company Law Board Regulations, 1991, has reconstituted its Benches effective from September 9, 2002. The Principal Bench, handling specific sections of the Companies Act, will comprise designated members. An Additional Principal Bench in Chennai will cover certain southern states and territories. Regional Benches in New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai will address other sections. Single-member Benches will manage interlocutory and miscellaneous applications. Benches can convene anywhere in India and may refer cases to the Principal Bench for joint consultation.
