of <h1>Fraudulent DEPB scrips from forged documents must be refused for import clearance; notify investigating Customs office and Board</h1> Certain DEPB scrips were fraudulently obtained using forged documents in the names of non-existent firms; no exports support those scrips, so they are fraudulent and must not be accepted for import clearances. Investigators found the scrips transferred to multiple transferee entities and produced for clearance at several Customs Houses (including Mumbai, Kandla, Mangalore and Cochin). Other Customs stations may face similar presentations; authorities are directed to refuse clearance against these scrips and to notify the investigating Customs office and the Board of any attempted use.
