Notice requirement for director candidature does not extend to private companies except where they are subsidiaries of a public company. The notice obligation in sub section (1A) applies only where sub section (1) applies; since sub section (2) excludes private companies from sub section (1) (unless a private company is a subsidiary of a public company), sub section (1A) does not apply to such private companies.
