<h1>Sections 108A-108I of Companies Act, 1956, deemed redundant after MRTP Act repeal, says Ministry of Corporate Affairs.</h1> Sections 108A to 108I of the Companies Act, 1956, introduced through the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices (Amendment) Act, 1991, are deemed redundant following the repeal of the MRTP Act, 1969. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, in consultation with the Ministry of Law & Justice, has determined that these sections no longer hold legal validity. This clarification is issued with the approval of the Competent Authority and is directed to all Regional Directors, Registrars of Companies, and Official Liquidators.
