of <h1>Companies Act Update: New Salary Disclosure Threshold in Directors' Reports Effective April 1, 2011, per Section 217 Amendment.</h1> The Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued a circular clarifying the effective date of the Companies (Particulars of Employees) Amendment Rules, 2011. The notification, dated March 31, 2011, increases the salary threshold for employee disclosure in Directors' Reports. It applies to all Directors' Reports under section 217 of the Companies Act, 1956, that are approved by the Board of Directors on or after April 1, 2011, regardless of the accounting year of the annual account being approved.
