Appellate Tribunal allows amendment to challenge Govt. decision on Notification.

The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT allowed the appellant to amend the Memo. of Appeal to challenge a decision by the Govt. of India in issuing a Notification dated 11-4-2000. The decision was influenced by the Supreme Court case of Saurashtra Chemicals Ltd. v. Union of India. The case was adjourned to 18-9-2000 for further instructions on the additional ground raised in the Memo. of Appeal.
