Restoration of import policy of newsprint - it is submitted that if the earlier policy is to prevail, they may not have any objection for the disposal of the Special Leave Petition - HELD THAT:- The Special Leave Petition stands disposed of, as the petitioner has now decided to discontinue the Notification No. 9 dated 03.06.2016 which, in any case, has also been quashed by the High Court and to restore the import policy of newsprint which prevailed prior to 03.06.2016. In other words, the petitioners are not pressing this Special Leave Petition. SLP disposed off. The Supreme Court disposed of the Special Leave Petition as the Ministry of Commerce and Industry decided to restore the import policy of newsprint as it was before 03.06.2016, without insisting on the revised policy. The petitioners are not pressing the petition, but questions of law may be raised in the future.
