        <h1>Supreme Court Allows Provisional Release of Imported Apples from Customs Warehouse on Bond Submission</h1> SC upheld HC's interim order allowing provisional release of imported apples from customs warehouse upon bond submission. The order specifically applies ... Provisional release of goods - Stay of Notification No. 5/2023 dated 08 05.2023 by the Kerala High Court - Bombay High Court has permitted the respondent(s) herein to provisionally assess the Bill of Entry and release the goods to the petitioner therein on 08.12.2023 by furnishing a bond - HELD THAT:- Pending disposal of these petitions, it is directed that the stock of apples which have been already imported by the petitioners and which are lying in customs warehouse/CFS shall be provisionally released subject to the petitioners furnishing a bond. The said exercise shall be carried out forthwith. It is clarified and observed that this interim order is restricted to the stock of apples already imported and lying in the CFS. The Supreme Court directed provisional release of imported apples lying in customs warehouse/CFS upon furnishing a bond, based on the interim order of the Bombay High Court. Kerala High Court stayed Notification No. 5/2023, allowing provisional assessment and release of goods. The order is limited to apples already imported and in CFS.
