The Supreme Court, comprising Chief Justice and Justices J.B. Pardiwala and Manoj Misr, allowed IA Nos. 175985 and 175989 of 2024 granting permission to file the appeal, including without a certified/plain copy of the impugned order. Notice was issued returnable on 23 August 2024. The Court stayed the operation of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal's impugned judgment dated 2 August 2024 in Company Appeal (AT) (CH) (Ins) No. 262 of 2024. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was directed to maintain Rs. 158 crores, realized pursuant to the settlement, in a separate escrow account pending further orders.
