Issues: Whether a direction should be issued for completion of the remanded adjudication proceedings expeditiously.
Analysis: The adjudication had already been remanded for fresh decision after observance of natural justice, and the respondents stated that, if the matter was still pending, necessary steps would be taken to finalise it expeditiously. In view of that statement, the writ petition was not kept pending, and a direction was issued to complete the adjudication as early as possible, preferably within four months of production of a certified copy of the order, with an expectation of cooperation from the petitioner.
Conclusion: The request for expeditious completion of the adjudication was accepted and appropriate directions were issued in favour of the petitioner.
