<h1>Special Leave Petitions Dismissed for Lack of Merit</h1> SC dismissed the Special Leave Petitions for lack of merit, and pending applications were disposed of. - 2019 (368) E.L.T. A155 (SC) Clandestine removal - cotton yarn - Department was of the view that the assessee removed cotton yarn on cheese in the guise of hank yarn with an intent to evade the payment of excise duty and clandestinely cleared the same - HELD THAT:- There is no merit in the SLP - SLP dismissed. The Supreme Court dismissed the Special Leave Petitions as they found no merit in them. Pending applications were also disposed of.
