Application for modification of bail conditions – Applicant belongs to a poor family so condition imposed by trial court of imposing solvent surety of Rs. 2 lakh is quashed and set aside – Orders of trial court are modified accordingly The High Court of Gujarat heard a case where applicants were arrested under Central Excise Rules and Customs Act. They couldn't afford the bail surety of Rs. 2 lacs. Referring to previous cases, the court quashed the condition of surety and ordered their release.
