Appellate Tribunal reduces penalty for Director in Textiles Mills case

The Appellate Tribunal CESTAT Ahmedabad reduced the penalty imposed on the Director of M/s. Rangil Textiles Mills Pvt. Ltd., Surat from Rs.60,000 to Rs.30,000 as goods were not available for confiscation despite knowledge of clandestine activity. Total duty evaded was Rs.5,98,902.
