Government of India allows separate appeals after rejecting consolidated appeal, set aside defect, now appeals considered on merits

IN RE : RAMESHWARA JUTE MILLS LTD. - 1982 (10) E.L.T. 734 (G. O. I.) The Government of India considered a revision application where the appellants appealed against five orders dated 19-5-1981. The Appellate Collector rejected the appeal as defective for filing one appeal against multiple orders, contrary to the law. The Government directed separate appeals for each order and set aside the rejection, allowing for appeals to be considered on their merits after defects are corrected. The revision application was disposed of with these directions.
