Surrender of registration requires written application; revocation follows only after dues are paid and no proceedings are pending.

An Authorised Courier may surrender registration by written application to the Principal Commissioner or Commissioner of Customs who granted it; the registration may be revoked only if the courier has paid all dues payable to the Central Government under the Act and subordinate rules or regulations and no proceedings under the Act or those rules or regulations are pending against the courier.
