Indian Residents, Tourists, and Foreigners Can Bring Duty-Free Personal Effects and Souvenirs Worth 15,000 from Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar.
Passengers arriving in India from Nepal, Bhutan, or Myanmar, who are Indian residents, foreigners residing in India, or tourists, excluding infants, are permitted duty-free clearance for used personal effects and travel souvenirs. Additionally, they may bring other items, not listed in Annexure I, valued up to fifteen thousand rupees if carried personally or in accompanied baggage. Infants are only allowed duty-free clearance for used personal effects. Passengers arriving by land are similarly limited to duty-free used personal effects. The free allowance for one passenger cannot be combined with another's allowance.
