Customs Commissioner may revoke courier registration for bond breaches or misconduct; appeals allowed within 60 days.
The Principal Commissioner or Commissioner of Customs may revoke the registration of an Authorised Courier and forfeit their security for failing to comply with bond conditions or regulations, or for misconduct deemed unfit for business at a Customs airport. If grounds for revocation are not immediately clear, an inquiry may be conducted, and registration may be suspended pending its outcome. If no grounds are established, the suspension is lifted. An aggrieved Authorised Courier may appeal the decision in writing to the Principal Chief Commissioner or Chief Commissioner within sixty days, who will then provide a hearing and resolve the matter promptly.
