Amendment power: Settlement Commission may amend orders within six months, with notice if liability is to be modified.

The Settlement Commission may, within six months from the date of an order, amend any order to rectify a mistake apparent from the record. An amendment that would modify the applicant's liability may be made only after the Commission gives notice of its intention to both the applicant and the Commissioner and affords them an opportunity of being heard. The amendment takes effect from 1 June 2011.
