Registrar of Trade Unions appointments and delegation; deputies deemed registrar within union office area under Industrial Relations Code.

Section 5 empowers the State Government to appoint a Registrar of Trade Unions and Additional, Joint and Deputy Registrars by notification and to specify the powers and duties these officers will exercise. Where an Additional, Joint or Deputy Registrar, subject to State Government orders, exercises the Registrar's powers in the area containing a trade union's registered office, that officer is deemed to be the Registrar for that trade union for the purposes of the Code.
