Desealing and resumption of operation require advance intimation to the proper officer and supervised reopening of the sealed unit.

A registered person intending to resume operation of a sealed machine or closed manual process unit must intimate the proper officer three working days in advance of the intended date of resumption. The unit is then to be desealed under the physical supervision of the proper officer, establishing a pre-intimation requirement and supervised desealing procedure before operations may restart.
