Levy of fine authority: courts may order attachment or collector recovery for unpaid fines, subject to procedural limits.

Courts may recover unpaid fines by issuing warrants for attachment and sale of the offender's movable property or by directing the district Collector to realise the amount as arrears of land revenue, subject to limits where the offender has already served imprisonment in default; Collector recovery follows land revenue procedures and warrants cannot be executed by arrest or detention. The State Government may make rules for execution of attachment warrants and summary determination of third party claims.
