Case transfer by executive magistrates: they may assign, withdraw, or recall proceedings and dispose or reassign them.

Power to transfer and resume jurisdiction over criminal proceedings is vested in District and Sub divisional Magistrates. Executive magistrates may make over any proceeding begun before them to a subordinate Magistrate for disposal, and retain authority to withdraw or recall any case so transferred, after which they may dispose of the proceeding personally or refer it to another Magistrate.
