The repeal preserves the prior operation and legal consequences of the repealed criminal Code: accrued rights, privileges, obligations and liabilities, penalties and punishments, and any investigations, proceedings or remedies may be instituted, continued or enforced and penalties imposed as if the prior Code had not been repealed. Acts done under the repealed Code are deemed done under corresponding provisions of the new Sanhita, and the specific savings do not limit the broader application of general repeal principles.
