Commodity derivative scope expanded to include price and index based derivatives and options in goods on recognised exchanges.

Section 116 is amended to broaden clause (7) to include sale of commodity derivatives, sale of commodity derivatives based on prices or indices of prices, and options in goods for commodities (excluding agricultural commodities) traded on recognised stock exchanges. Clause (8) substitutes the prior statutory reference with the securities contracts regulatory framework and inserts that notifications issued, alongside rules made, are relevant.
