Powers of a receiver include owner-like authority to manage, protect, realize property and collect its rents and profits.

A receiver appointed under the Second Schedule has owner-like powers, subject to the Tax Recovery Officer's selection, including bringing and defending suits, realisation, management, protection and preservation of property, collection, application and disposal of rents and profits, and execution of documents necessary to perform those functions.
