Reciprocal exchange of information: enables cross-border information sharing for trade facilitation and Customs enforcement.

A new provision permits the Central Government to enter into bilateral or multilateral agreements with foreign States or competent authorities for reciprocal exchange of information to facilitate trade, support risk analysis, verify compliance and prevent, investigate and combat offences under the Customs Act or corresponding foreign laws; allows use of exchanged information as evidence subject to notification conditions; directs the Board to prescribe procedures and channels for multilateral exchanges; and deems pre-enactment arrangements to be covered by the section, with definitions of "contracting State" and "corresponding law."
