Diplomatic and consular fiscal privileges remain protected, unaffected by the treaty under international law and special agreements.

The Agreement does not alter or affect the fiscal privileges of diplomatic or consular officials as recognised under general rules of international law or under the terms of any special agreements; tax measures in the treaty do not limit or modify status based fiscal immunities and benefits enjoyed by such officials.
