Presumption as to documents: prosecution-tendered records are presumed genuine and admissible by the court unless rebutted in evidence.

Where a document produced, seized, or received from outside India and tendered by the prosecution in evidence is concerned, the court shall, unless the contrary is proved, presume the truth of its contents and that signatures or handwriting it purports to bear are genuine, and shall admit the document in evidence even if not duly stamped, provided it is otherwise admissible.
