Interest on refund of pre-deposit is payable at prescribed rate from date of payment until date of refund.

Where an amount deposited by an appellant under the appellate pre-deposit provisions is required to be refunded consequent to an order of the Appellate Authority or Appellate Tribunal, interest at the rate specified under the provision governing interest is payable from the date of payment of the amount until the date of refund.
