Abatement of proceedings when Settlement Commission order declines to provide settlement terms; proceedings abate on that order date.

The amendment to section 245HA provides that where an application under section 245C has led to an order under sub section (4) of section 245D that does not provide for the terms of settlement, the proceedings before the Settlement Commission shall abate on the day that such order was passed. The Bill inserts a new clause in sub section (1) and a corresponding Explanation clause specifying the abatement date for these cases.
