Inspection of foreign contribution accounts permits authorised officers to enter premises when recorded grounds indicate statutory contravention.

Inspection of accounts or records may be authorised where written grounds exist to suspect a contravention by a political party, person, organisation or association. A general or special order may empower a gazetted Central Government Group A officer, or another appropriate officer, authority or organisation, to inspect relevant accounts and records. The inspecting officer may enter the concerned premises at a reasonable hour between sunrise and sunset for inspection.
