Wages entitlement for partial-day work: employees paid as for a full day unless unwillingness or prescribed exceptions apply.

Where an employee's minimum rate of wages is fixed by the day, if they work less than the requisite hours of a normal working day they are, as a general rule, entitled to wages as if they had worked a full normal working day, except where the shortfall is due to the employee's unwillingness to work or in other cases as may be prescribed.
