Rights of persons under search: ensure warrant inspection, identity verification and access to seized document copies and presence during search.

Regulation 19 recognises rights of the occupant or person in charge to see and obtain a copy of the warrant of authority, verify the identity of the authorised officer and assisting officials, be present during the search and seizure, and to mark seized documents with signature, stamp or seal. It permits the occupant to have copies or extracts of seized documents, in the presence of the authorised officer or a person authorised by him at a place and reasonable time appointed by the authorised officer, and to receive a copy of any statement recorded during the search and seizure.
