Search and seizure powers allow authorised officers to enter, break, inspect receptacles and seize documents.

Authorised officers executing a warrant may enter and search places where admittance cannot be obtained, break doors or windows after notification, and must give a woman who customarily does not appear in public notice and opportunity to withdraw before entering her apartment. Officers may require opening of boxes, lockers, safes or receptacles and break them if keys are unavailable or compliance is refused, restrain removal of articles pending search, requisition assistance from police or government officers, and search locations where relevant information or documents are expected to be kept.
