Transitional trial arrangement: sessions courts try offences until special courts are established, with transfer powers preserved.

Offences designated for trial by a Special Court shall, until a Special Court is constituted, be taken cognizance of and tried by the Court of Session exercising jurisdiction, notwithstanding the Code of Criminal Procedure; the High Court's power to transfer cases or classes of cases taken cognizance of by the Court of Session under this arrangement is preserved.
