Customs privileges allow privileged persons to import or purchase specified goods duty-free for personal, family, or official use.

The rules qualify a privileged person as one entitled to import or purchase from bonded stocks free of customs duty for personal, family or official use in Missions or equivalent posts; goods include articles and motor vehicles so imported or purchased and items bought from another privileged person on which customs duty has not been paid; a non-privileged person is anyone not so entitled.
