Valuer oversight: Chief Commissioner or Director General may review and remove registered valuers, with court-like inquiry powers.

Amendment delegates valuer registration oversight to the Chief Commissioner or Director General, who shall review valuers once in three years and may remove names from the Register after giving a reasonable opportunity to be heard and any further inquiry; the Chief Commissioner or Director General may conduct inquiries or appoint an Inquiry Officer not below Commissioner, and for such inquiries they have the same powers as a court under the Code of Civil Procedure, including discovery, enforcing attendance and examination on oath, compelling production of books and issuing commissions.
