....System-based e-scheduling for examination of imported cargo is introduced on ICEGATE 2.0 as a trade facilitation measure to improve transparency, efficiency and certainty in cargo examination. Importers, authorised Customs Brokers and custodians may electronically schedule, view and reschedule examinations, with automated notifications and audit trails. Examination slots are system-allocated, and rescheduling, holding or removal from the schedule is permitted only by the Assistant/Deputy Commissioner in charge for recorded, justifiable reasons. Importers must enter correct Bill of Entry and Custodian/CFS details, custodians must coordinate placement of goods, and Customs officers must ensure proper officer mapping and conduct examinations through the application.
