....Registrars of Companies are appointed as adjudicating officers under the Companies Act, reallocating adjudicatory jurisdiction across listed States, Union territories and districts; this supersedes earlier notifications and assigns specific territorial competence to each registrar. Appeals against adjudication orders lie to the Regional Director having territorial jurisdiction, and existing proceedings and pending appeals are to be continued and dealt with under the new territorial allocations. The notification becomes effective 16 February 2026, triggering the transfer of jurisdiction and application of the Companies (Adjudication of Penalties) Rules, 2014 as per the updated appointments.....
