In response, the trade members clarified that rice exports have not been significantly affected, as the majority of rice consignments are destined for West African countries. The Chairman further enquired about change of mode of transport of rice exports i.e, from containerized cargo to bulk cargo. The trade members explained that the shift is primarily due to the high freight charges associated with containerized shipping. ....xpressed satisfaction with the improved testing facilities at the CRCL Laboratory in Visakhapatnam, noting that test results are now being delivered within 24 to 48 hours, earlier it took time of around 1 to 2 weeks. The Chairman explained that the Custom House Laboratory has been upgraded and is now equipped with State of Art infrastructure and testing equipment which can give test result in few minutes. The Chairman appreciated the participation of the shipping liners in the meeting. Further the chairman directed the PQ officer to share his insights about the PQ regulations. In response, the representatives of the trade stated that a person holding an MBA degree, or an individual in possession of a G-Card with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, is eligible to appear for the F-Card examination also they referred to the letter issued by Chennai Customs vide F. No. GEN/CB/PASS/1/2025-CBS dated 06.03.2025 regarding the lifetime validity of G-card and H-card. Shri P. M.
