....to establish GSK (GST Suvidha Kendra) Centres for implementation of Biometric based Aadhaar authentication of the GST registrations.  The purpose is to curb the menace of fake registrations resulting in claim and passing on of irregular or fraudulent input tax credit. The process of amendment to rules, issue of relevant notification and procurement of hardware devices required for the purpose is underway.  In this context, it is pertinent to mention here that, the bio-metric based Aadhaar authentication includes - i. Identification of risky applications for GSTINs by the GSTN, based on certain risk parameters, from new registration applications and such taxpayers be directed to go through biometric authentication. ....
