The Assessing Officer initiated separate proceedings for imposition of penalty. After the compliance with the statutory formalities, the Assessing Officer by an order dated 29/02/2024 imposed a penalty of Rs. 34,688/- for assessment year 2016-17 under Section 271(1)(c) of the Act for 'concealment of particulars of income'. 8.
