....Under Customs Act s.25(1), MoF amended notification 16/2017-Customs to expand customs duty exemptions for specified pharmaceutical drugs distributed through Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs). The amendment adds 37 new pharmaceutical products (entries 53-89) from multiple manufacturers including MSD Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer, Novartis, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Takeda, GSK, and Roche. The exempted drugs include treatments for cancer, rare diseases, and autoimmune conditions.
