The petitioner has invoked the writ jurisdiction of this Court for the purposes of quashing the notices dated 18.02.2021 issued to her under Section 153A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (for short 'the Act') for the assessment years 2012-13 and 2013-14. 3. Sh. Naik, senior counsel for the petitioner submitted that the aforesaid notices are without jurisdiction as the Assessing Authority is not in possession of any material on the basis of which he can form an opinion that the income of the petitioner has escaped assessment likely to be of the amount of Rs. 50.00 lakhs or more in the relevant assessment years.
