....he course of the presentation on Time Release Study are as under: 3.1 IMPORT CLEARANCE The percentage of RMS facilitated bills where no assessment and no examination prescribed during the last three months increased from 65.80% to 72.27%. The cumulative percentage for registration of goods within 24 hrs of payment of duty was only 29.62% and within 72 hrs was 66.69%. * The Chairman advised the Customs Brokers/ importers to use online registration facility to expedite the registration immediately after payment of duty so as to reduce the average dwell time further. DWELL TIME The total time taken from arrival of cargo to out-of-charge improved from 5.74 days for the month of February to 5.26 days for the month of April, 2019. ....
