To appreciate the contentions of learned counsel it may be useful to read here the relevant provisions of section 9(1)(vi)(b) of the Act which deals with "income deemed to accrue or arise in India" and it runs thus : "Section 9(1) The following incomes shall be deemed to accrue or arise in India--. . .
