Briefly the facts of the present case are that the appellants are the manufacturers of branded readymade garments falling under Chapter 62 of Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985. On scrutiny of the monthly ER1 returns filed by the assessee for the period from October 2011 to August 2012, it was noticed that they have manufactured and cleared branded readymade garments on payment of Central Excise duty.
