A Container Scanning Division (CSD) headed by Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Customs, CSD has been created for this purpose and is functional from the aforesaid Scanner location in Mumbai Port area. This facility is prominently marked as Container Scanning Division (CSD), Mumbai, where scanning of containers will be done. The public in general is cautioned that entry to this area is strictly prohibited without valid authority or permission from Customs. Procedures: 1. The Customs Gate officer posted at such CFS will verify and endorse the EIR copy or DOCKS DEPARTMENT CONTAINER GATE PASS copy with remark "VERIFIED, ODC CONTAINER". The said endorsed copy shall then be produced before the Customs Check-in officer at CSD Scanning site who will then enter the said container number in the system and thereafter affix the stamp NOT SCANNED DUE TO ODC/OVERWIEGHT. 6.
