ANNEXURE CONVENTION BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA AND THE KINGDOM OF NORWAY FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBLE TAXATION AND THE PREVENTION OF FISCAL EVASION WITH RESPECT TO TAXES ON INCOME AND ON CAPITAL The Government of the Republic of India and the Government of the Kingdom of Norway desiring to conclude a Convention for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect of taxes on income and on capital, have agreed as follows: ARTICLE 1 PERSONAL SCOPE This Convention shall apply to persons who are residents of one or both of the Contracting States. However, such royalties and fees for technical services may also be taxed in the Contracting State in which they arise and according to the laws of that State. But in so far as fees for technical services are considered, to the extent such fees are paid in respect of a contract which is signed after the date of entry into force of this Convention, the tax so charged shall not exceed 20 per cent of such fees.
