The matter has since been re-examined in consultation with the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying and Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and it has been decided that the import of pets (dog and cat only) upto two numbers per passenger may be allowed at one time subject to the production of the required health certificate from the country of origin and examination of the said pets by the concerned Quarantine Officer.
